1. What is your “catalog year” and its significance? The catalog year is the year of the degree plan you are following.  Your catalog year determines the classes you need for your major. 这很重要，因为如果你的学位要求改变了，在大多数情况下，你不需要额外的课程来毕业. 你的“目录年”决定了你的学位要求，包括按地区划分的学分, 具体课程要求, 选修要求.

Your catalog year does not determine the course prerequisites when you take the course; the Catalog that is in effect during the term you take the course determines each courses prerequisites.
